About Napa Picnic Guide
One question, answered properly: where can you actually picnic in wine country?
Search for picnic wineries in Napa or Sonoma and you'll find listicles that were accurate years ago. Policies changed during and after 2020: some wineries closed their lawns, others moved to reservations, and many that still welcome a basket now expect you to buy a bottle first. People find out at the gate.
Napa Picnic Guide tracks those rules place by place — outside food, outside wine, purchase requirements, reservations, fees, group limits, dogs and kids — and shows when each listing was last checked and where the information came from. It covers wineries, public parks, delis and markets, picnic companies and picnic experiences across Napa and Sonoma counties.
How the site is funded
Listings are free and always will be. The site earns money from clearly labeled featured placements, from referral fees when we connect groups with picnic companies or venues, and in future possibly from advertising and affiliate links (which we'll always disclose). None of that changes what we publish about a venue's picnic policy.

Visited recently? Every listing has a quick “was this accurate?” button and an update form — those reports are how the guide stays current. You can also suggest a spot. Businesses can claim their listing.
