Napa
Alston Park is Napa's big open-space park and the city's second-most-visited, drawing dog owners and hikers. It suits a simple trailside picnic after a walk more than a full group spread. New permanent restrooms opened in fall 2025. Alcohol is not permitted.

Clarke Ranch is American Canyon's gateway to the Napa River wetlands, with lawn and picnic seating next to flat trails through restored marsh. A campground and marina on Lake Berryessa's northwest shore, about half a mile north of Pope Canyon Road, run by Royal Elk Park Management under contract with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. A day pass covers lake access, a first-come picnic area by the launch ramp, swimming and rentals, at a higher price than Reclamation's own Oak Shores.
