Not always. 53 wineries in our directory say you can picnic without booking, usually with a tasting or bottle purchase. The 67 picnics on this page do need a reservation, and the popular ones fill up on spring and harvest weekends.
How much does a reserved winery picnic cost?
11 of these picnics are free to reserve as long as you buy wine there. Catered picnics and picnic lunches are priced per person, up to about $295. Tasting fees and bottle minimums are often extra, so read what's included before you book.
