Other town rules (YMC ch. 12.12): open sunrise to sunset; fires only in built grills or fire facilities; no smoking or cannabis; amplified sound needs a permit; organized groups of 26-199 people need a Town Manager permit, and 200+ is a special event.

What the picnic area is like

A small park at the end of Oak Circle on Yountville's east side, where a big lawn with a few picnic tables and benches looks out over vineyards toward the Stags Leap hills. Tennis and pickleball courts, fitness equipment and a restroom share the site.
