The Market at Carneros Resort and Spa is a gourmet general store and café in the resort's Town Square, open to the public from early morning to late evening. It sells coffee, pizzas, sandwiches, local wine and pantry goods, plus a $25 picnic lunch you can order ahead and take on the road or eat at garden tables near the bocce court.

A long-running family winery in Carneros growing organic, dry-farmed grapes. Unusually for Napa, it still takes walk-ins and pours at an old-fashioned stand-up bar. There's a picnic area for lunch, a $30 tasting, and a welcome for kids and dogs, making it one of the best budget picnic stops at the south end of the valley.
