Four reservable group sites: Gazebo (25-99 people, about 9 tables, accessible), Oak Savanna (25-50, about 8 tables, accessible), Volleyball area (25-50, about 7 tables) and Lions Grove (25-50, about 7 tables). $75 for 1-99 people or $130 for 100-150, plus per-car parking; book online up to 12 months and at least 3 days ahead (changes: (707) 565-2041). County policy requires a group-site reservation for gatherings of 25 or more.

Alcohol: allowed. Sonoma County Code §20-13 bans drinking only where the park authority has ordered and posted a prohibition, and Ragle Ranch is not on the county's list of parks with alcohol restrictions; obey any posted signs. Also: fires only in park BBQs and fire rings, and charcoal/wood BBQs are banned on Red Flag, high-wind and Spare the Air days (gas allowed unless noticed); no amplified music or bands at group sites; no bounce houses, confetti, mylar balloons or Styrofoam; no smoking or vaping; pack out trash; under-18s at group sites must be with a parent or guardian.

What the picnic area is like

A large, oak-dotted community park on Sebastopol's west side, with group and individual picnic sites with barbecues spread across the developed east side near the playground, courts and sports fields. Past that, meadows, wetlands and willow-lined Atascadero Creek offer quieter corners and a hilltop trail with views across west county.

About Ragle Ranch Regional Park

Sebastopol's big regional park pairs a full-service picnic ground (grills, four reservable group sites, playground, tennis and sand volleyball) with oak meadows and creekside trails. Unlike the county's river beaches, it has no posted alcohol ban, which makes it one of the easiest public places in west county to open a bottle with lunch.
