What the picnic area is like

A knoll-top tasting area above the Silverado Trail, set in big gardens (100+ plant varieties) with outdoor tables and views west to the Mayacamas Mountains. It's one of the prettiest garden settings in the valley for a relaxed lunch with wine.

About Rombauer Vineyards

The famously buttery-Chardonnay family winery, set on a garden-covered knoll off the Silverado Trail north of St. Helena. Rombauer doesn't serve food, but it welcomes a picnic with an outdoor tasting. At $25 it's also one of the best-value tastings in Napa.
