About Della Fattoria

Della Fattoria's slow-fermented country breads, made to Kathleen Weber's long, cold-fermentation method, are stocked by markets around the Bay Area, and its downtown café occupies a circa-1860 bakery building. For a picnic, it's the stop for a whole loaf plus a sandwich or pastry to go — but note the café now opens only Thursday through Sunday mornings.

Downtown Petaluma's best-known park is a small green with a rose-ringed gazebo, playground and picnic tables, and it hosts the Saturday farmers market in season. It is good for a quick family lunch downtown, but leave the wine in the car: glass is banned and alcohol isn't permitted.
